On January 29, 2018 Candy USA reported that the Swiss chocolatier Barry Callebaut AG announced that it “and 40 other Swiss cocoa industry players have joined together under the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa, with the goal of having at least 80 percent of all cocoa-containing products imported into Switzerland coming from sustainable sources.”
According to the article, Switzerland is now the third country to make such a commitment, following similar moves in Germany and The Netherlands.
