“The Problem With ESG ETFs, and the Opportunities” – Barron’s – October 7, 2017

On October 7, 2017 Barron’s published an article analyzing the current challenges facing ESG exchange traded fnds (ETS) and the opportunities they present.  The article reviews ESG ETFs covering developed and emerging markets.

According to the article, the challenges appear to be the ESG ETF’s expense ratios, size and lack of track record.  The byline reads as follows:  “Sustainable ETFs are generally too new, small, and expensive to recommend, but that won’t be the case for long.”  The market is growing quickly and significantly:  “There are twice as many ESG ETFs now as there were two years ago.”
