On July 7, 2017 The Straights Times reported that a new “women’s livelihood bond” would soon list on the Singapore Exchange (SGX). According to the article, “(t)he US$8 million (S$11 million) bond offers loans to social enterprises and microfinance institutions which, in turn, aim to help more than 385,000 women in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam. Singapore-based firm Impact Investment Exchange (IIX), which is dedicated to impact investing, worked with DBS on the project.”
