On January 30, 2013 CSR Asia published an article describing the status of the new law on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in India.
According to the article, “On 18 December 2012, the Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Parliament) approved and passed the Companies Bill 2012 which makes corporate social responsibility mandatory for Indian companies. The bill is now pending the approval of the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of the Parliament).”
