1st National Meeting of Sustainability Professionals – Sao Paulo, Brazil – August 23, 2012

Abraps (Associação Brasileira dos Profissionais de Sustentabilidade), the Brazilian Association of Sustainability Professionals, organized the First National Meeting of Sustainability Professionals on August 23, 2012 at the Anhembi Morumbi University in Sao Paulo.  185 professionals from the Abraps network and 200 environmental educators from schools across the province of Sao Paulo attended the meeting.

The First National Meeting offered five sessions of discussions and presentations related to the following issues:  Brazilian residues regulation; challenges facing sustainability professionals; education for sustainability professionals; sustainable buildings; and trends following the Rio +20
conference.

According to Abraps, the event “was a success; participants were satisfied with the sessions and look forward to future meetings.”
