On September 25, 2019 Minerva Analytics held in London a one-day educational seminar for asset owners entitled, “Waving not Drowning: Surfing & Surviving the ESG Wave.”
Awareness of the potential impact of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors on investment returns has been steadily increasing over the last 20 years. With recent legislative changes in the pensions space originating from both the UK and the European Parliaments, some asset owners may well be wondering about the ESG ‘wave’ that is building. They might also be wondering ‘What should we be doing about it?’
To help asset owners negotiate the wave, Minerva Analytics held a one-day ESG-themed seminar at the Museum of London.
With over seven speakers from organizations including NEST and Reddington, the event was high on educational content – with CPD accreditation from the Pensions Management Institute (PMI).
Geoffrey Mazullo, Principal, Emerging Markets ESG, participated in the seminar and delivered a presentation on ESG and emerging markets.

David Crum, Managing Director, Asset Owner Solutions, noted, “ESG and climate change factors have never been of greater importance to asset stewards. In running this Educational Event, we sought to bring together experts from a range of disciplines to provide insight, information and education to attendees, and we’re particularly grateful to Geoffrey for travelling to the UK to participate. The feedback so far has been very positive, and it is heartening to observe the sea change in the way that asset stewards are approaching these vitally important issues.”
