On October 20, 2016 The Business Times reported on a recent study conducted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School’s Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) and Asean CSR Network (ACN).
Entitled “Sustainability Reporting in Singapore: The State of Practice among Singapore Exchange (SGX) Mainboard Listed Companies 2015,” the study notes that 186 of 502 mainboard companies (37%) state that they disclose their sustainability practices to stakeholders. Furthermore, according to the article, “(o)nly 12.9 per cent of companies disclosed information about their climate change efforts, and even fewer companies disclosed information on biodiversity management efforts.”
