“Norway adopts world’s first zero deforestation policy: What does that mean?” – The Christian Science Monitor – June 8, 2016

On June 8, 2016 The Christian Science Monitor reported that “Norway has announced a complete ban on deforestation, making it the first country to commit to a zero deforestation policy.”

The zero deforestation policy in Norway’s procurement of goods is announced “two years after making a pledge with Germany and Britain to ‘promote national commitments that encourage deforestation free supply chains.’”
