“BSE extends business responsibility reporting to top 500 firms” – Live Mint – May 19, 2016

On May 19, 2016 Live Mint reported that the BSE (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) to extend business responsibility reporting on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues from the top 100 companies to the top 200 companies listed on the exchange.

According to the article, “BSE, with over 5,000 firms, is one of the largest exchanges in the world and the first from Asia to join the United Nations’ Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative.”
