European Investment Bank (EIB) – Banking in Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey – Challenges and Opportunities – January 30, 2013

On January 30, 2013 the European Investment Bank (EIB) published a report entitled, “Banking in Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey – Challenges and Opportunities.”

According to the executive summary, “This publication discusses the challenges and opportunities for the banking sectors in CEE countries and Turkey that arose after the financial crisis in 2007 and the on-going tensions on European sovereign debt markets. Its aim is to take stock of the views of commercial banks, the regulators and international financial institutions (IFIs) and to provide a starting point for the Roundtable Discussion organized by the EIB on this topic, as well as a useful reference text on banking in the region.”
