The Economic Times published an article on January 25, 2013 entitled, “Why marketing guru Raj Sisodia asks India Inc. to awaken ‘better angels of their nature.’”

The article profiles the views of Rajender S. Sisodia about Indian business.  Ray Sisodia is professor of marketing at Bentley University and founder and chairman of the Conscious Capitalism Institute.

Refering to India, Professor Sisodia says, “We don’t have to repeat the mistakes of others. Two, conscious capitalism is in keeping with the ancient wisdom of India as it views leadership as trusteeship, which is all about focusing on the right actions and not being attached to outcome.”

Professor Sisodia refers to the Indian model as “karma capitalism,” noting that “When you blend the wisdom of the East, particularly of ‘conscious’ India, and the wisdom of the West, specifically the ‘capitalism’ of the US, the combination is extraordinarily powerful.”
