For the first time, environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues were debated and discussed during a special session of the General Assembly and Annual Meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).
According to a press release distributed by BM&FBOVESPA. “the Brazilian Exchange w(as) present at “Panel 2 – Special Session: ESG” on October 16, when for the first time environmental, social and corporate governance questions w(ere) discussed in an exclusive session dedicated to these matters.” Sonia Favoretto, Sustainability Officer, was one of three panelists during the session, together with the Chief Executive of Aviva and the CEO of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The Deputy Secretary General of the WFE facilitated the session.
