On June 20, 2012 the book The Business Case for Sustainable Finance was presented at the BTA Press Club in Sofia, Bulgaria by Iveta Cherneva, editor.
The book includes financial sector analyses of asset management, banking, impact investing, investment and microfinance as well as topical analyses of climate change, human rights standards, labor, managing risk in emerging markets (China and South Africa), natural capital, poverty reduction and quality of management. Contributors represent a broad range of disciplines and geographic/subject areas: BNP Paribas, Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Credit Suisse, Earth Capital Partners LLP, FirstRand Group Ltd., Georgetown University Law Center, HSBC, SNS Asset Management, the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership and the University of Leeds.
According to the editor, “this collection provides a global picture of the way issues traditionally seen as only ethical and ‘do-good’ actually affect returns in a very real numerical way.”
The Business Case for Sustainable Finance is published by Routledge (London and New York).
